Electric Multiple Unit 35WE – “IMPULS”

35WE – the electric multiple unit of the 35WE type was manufactured for the Silesian Province by NEWAG SA from Nowy Sącz in 2012. The six-segment vehicle, numbered 007, has been in service with the Silesian Railways since November 2012.

The vehicle can handle large passenger streams due to its large single-space interior. The sound-proof interior with comfortable seats provides a high level of travel comfort. Both the driver’s cabs and the passenger compartment are equipped with high-efficiency air conditioning.

The vehicles are adapted to the needs of people with reduced mobility: they have wide, sliding plug doors, equipment in the outermost motorised carriages to facilitate boarding and disembarking (folding transport platforms), places for wheelchairs, and a large toilet with an enclosed tank. They also make it possible to transport bicycles.
