Only with Kaeśka – a 10% discount

Kaeśka is a mobile application of the Silesian Railways – it has been available for passengers since 1 January 2025. Until further notice, the ‘Travel with a discount’ is available for its holders, which allows them to take advantage of a 10% discount on the purchase of single tickets, monthly passes and selected special offers.

The Kaeśka app also allows generating invoices, making refunds and searching for train services – both direct and indirect (with stopovers) – and provides information on how to use the Substitute Bus Service, if necessary. It is also possible to set a minimum transfer time for connections that require it.

Since July, Kaeśka users have also been able to check the filling of the train in real time and buy a ticket for large luggage, travelling with a dog and carrying a bicycle. The latest update also provides passengers with a view of the full train route, highlighting the section covered by the ticket, automatic screen brightening and enlarging the QR code during inspections, as well as the option to purchase a monthly network pass for carrying a bicycle.

Convenience and mobility

Kaeśka offers passengers exceptional flexibility – a ticket can be purchased almost at the last minute and returned up to five minutes after the train’s scheduled departure if plans change. This is a solution that other ticketing apps do not offer.

Kaeśka makes it possible to pay for tickets using the well-known mobile payment systems Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Since the beginning of 2025, the app has been downloaded more than 80,000 times and the number of accounts created has exceeded 54,000. In total, almost 630,000 tickets have already been purchased by passengers via the app.
