Ticket on the train
On the train you can buy a ticket for travel, for transporting items, a dog and a bicycle.
In order to purchase a ticket on the train, the passenger must report to the train crew at the front of the train before or immediately after boarding.
When selling a ticket, the train crew will, in addition to the fare, charge a fee for issuing the ticket on board the train as specified in the Price List (C-KŚ) – Section IV of the Fare (TP-KŚ).
Note! On board the train, charges resulting from the conclusion of the contract of carriage can be paid in cash (in zlotys), with a contactless payment card or by paying in the BLIK system.
The fee for issuing a ticket on the train will not be charged from persons:
- starting a journey at a time when the check-in counter is closed, absent or there is no alternative option to purchase a ticket at the station (ticket vending machine with a card and cash purchase option);
- who have not purchased a ticket due to the impossibility of purchasing one at the station and have a ‘Certificate of notification of lack of a valid ticket for travel’ issued by the ticket office at that station;
- having a single ticket of another carrier with the stamp or note ‘Further’ or ‘Change of carrier’ issued on a train;
- notifying the train crew or a person authorised to supervise on board the train of their journey outside the station of destination no later than before the station of destination indicated on the ticket held;
- requesting a 100% discounted ticket;
- with a valid ticket declaring a modification of the contract of carriage with regard to: the passenger’s entitlement to a discount, a change of station of destination, a change of route;
- disabled persons, including a carer/guide of such a person – provided that a document confirming the disability is presented to the train crew at the time of ticket purchase. Persons with an apparent physical disability (permanent or temporary) are exempt from this obligation;
- pregnant women;
- seniors over 60 years of age – on presentation of proof of age;
- weakened by illness;
- with children in a pram;
- with temporary restrictions (e.g. broken lower limb).
The persons mentioned in items 7 to 12 are not obliged to report to the train crew before or immediately after boarding the train in order to purchase a ticket; they will be checked in during the inspection of their travel documents.
