As part of the modernisation, the vehicles were fitted with a modern, comfortable and functional single-space interior with vandal-proof seats, a modern passenger information system, monitoring, as well as air conditioning and automatically controlled heating. The vehicle has a toilet adapted for people with reduced mobility.

The layout of one carriage (in both vehicles) was adapted to carry more bicycles by changing the seating arrangement. The EN71AKŚ-100 and EN71AKŚ-101 vehicles have been given the nickname ‘VELOCUG’ associated with a bicycle-carrying train.
